Photography

The Photography Page is under construction.

Photographs by James have appeared in numerous newspapers, including The Globe and Mail, and in publications such as Quill & Quire: Canada’s Book News Monthly, Spotlight Magazine, Communique, and Cirque, A Literary Journal for the North Pacific Rim.

He focuses on human interest photos, news photos, and wilderness photography. His wilderness photos feature areas such as the Rocky Mountains in Canada, the Grand Canyon, the Going to the Sun Highway in Montana, and Wyoming’s Yellowstone National Park, and Grand Teton Mountains. The background on this page is a close up photo of the surface of a hot spring at Yellowstone.

His non-fiction short story of an experience of wilderness photography, late in the day, alone at the bottom of a crevasse inside the Athabasca Glacier in the Rocky Mountains, with a tripod, medium format Mamiya camera, and  a cable release in order to bracket the shots, was published at http://issuu.com/burwellm/docs/cirquevol3no1v2
